At Ulupınar Textile, we are actively engaged in numerous significant initiatives to combat one of the most pressing issues of our time, global climate change. As a member of the textile industry, we recognize the paramount importance of sustainability.
In this context, we employ environmentally friendly technologies at every stage of our production to minimize our environmental impact and steer our efforts in alignment with our sustainable approach.
OUR ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVITIES
At Ulupınar Textile, we are unwavering in our commitment to enhance environmental awareness, prevent environmental accidents, reduce electricity and water consumption, participate in the recycling loop for recyclable waste, preserve the environment and nature, mitigate waste generation and pollution, optimize the use of limited natural resources, minimize energy consumption, and combat climate change.
As part of the Zero Waste Project, we aim to foster waste consciousness throughout our company and conduct all our processes without causing any harm to the environment. In this context, we have developed an industrial waste management plan. Moreover, we hold employee workshops on energy saving and post energy saving signboards in our production areas.
The Scope of our Company's Environmental Policy is;
To secure ongoing progress and enhancement by adhering to all legal and environmental regulations and fulfilling the requisites of our customers pertaining to environmental considerations,
To minimize the consumption of raw materials through the utilization of suitable technologies that have the least environmental impact, within the constraints of our technical and economic capabilities, and to safeguard the preservation of natural resources,
To take environmental effects into account in the design of facilities and processes,
To promote awareness of our environmental responsibilities and engage all our employees, subcontractors, and the local community in our efforts,
To maintain continuous communication with our suppliers and customers in order to improve the environmental impact of our products,
To use different alternatives for recycling and reusing in order to minimize the waste that may arise from production, transportation, storage, operations, treatment, and maintenance activities,
To establish a culture of health, safety, and environmental integrity, mitigating the risks of potential emergencies, all while adhering to occupational health and safety regulations.

Promoting recyclable secondary paper use in photocopying processes, using water responsibly and at the necessary points in cleaning activities,
Properly and consciously collecting the contaminated waste generated as a result of our activities and entrusting them to licensed companies in compliance with waste contracts,
Preventing medical waste resulting from the infirmary and first aid activities from being disposed of anywhere other than the designated medical waste bin,
Hygienic collection of biological waste generated in the cafeteria,
Increasing employees' awareness regarding waste collection areas,
Use of environmentally harmless lighting alternatives by minimizing the use of fluorescent lighting,
Regular collection of textile waste (fabric trimmings) and delivery to the contracted company.

Environmental activities in 2022;
EIA Opinion was obtained.
Exemption from Environmental Permit Certificate was received.
Industrial Waste Management Plan was put into practice.
GSMR Opinion was obtained.
Paper, nylon and hazardous waste were handed over to licensed companies.
An environmentally-friendly company policy was maintained by handing waste oil from the cafeteria over to licensed companies.
The Industrial Waste Management Plan was implemented in 2022.
